Direction Finding (D/F) systems

AMS has designed special directional antennas that cover frequency bands from UHF up to 18GHz. These antennas in conjunction with special receiver designs form a Direction Finding (D/F) system. D/F systems can have angle discrimination with a maximum error of  +/-1 degree depending on the frequency of operation. The D/F system in cooperation with ESM systems can detect the position and the identity of a hostile target and the information can be processed further according to the threat that this target poses.

High sensitivity IFM systems

AMS has developed an IFM system that covers the frequency range from VHF to 12GHz. The sensitivity of the system is -60dBm. It can measure instantaneous frequency in few microseconds with a relative accuracy of +/-1MHz in the microwave region. The systems is comprised of several parallel downconverters each one corresponding to a certain frequency bandwidth. The system can be scaled to higher bandwidths according to customer needs.
